But today we'll talk all about gardening.
And that's something you can do outside.

Gardening is a good hobby if you want to work with plants and flowers.

Well, good question.
You can grow tomatoes, onions, potatoes and different things to eat.
And like we said earlier, you can save money if you have a great garden.

I had a plant once.
But it died.
What did I do wrong?
Maybe you didn't water it enough.
Or maybe you watered it too much.
Or maybe it didn't get enough sunlight.
Maybe.
Plants need water and sunlight to grow.
But different plants need different amounts of those things.
So how do you know?
Learn about your plants first.
That helps!
Well, when you garden, you can grow things.
But sometimes something bad happens.
Things die.
They do not live.
That's right.
A lot of times plants die.
And that can happen for a lot of different reasons.
This happened to Rob, too.
So he asked an important question, "What did I do wrong?"
Oh. That question is important.
So Christina will tell you something about it right now.

So Rob's plant died.
And what did he do wrong?
Petunia has some ideas.
Yes.
When you have plants, you have to do something to make sure they do not die.
You have to water them.
Plants need water to stay alive, friends.
That's important for you to remember.
And people also need water to stay alive.
We have to drink water every day or we can get sick.
And if plants don't get enough water, they will die.
But you do have to be careful.
You can't water plants too much.
So if you water plants too much, they'll die then, too.
There is too much to remember with plants.
You can't give them too much water or too little water.
That's right.
You have to do a lot of things to take care of your plants.
But I can think of one other thing plants need.
They need sunlight.
Ah, right.
You need to keep plants in the sun.
Plants stay alive in the sun.
So plants can't live if there is no sun.
That's true.
Water and sunlight are both things that help plants grow.
But different plants need different amounts of those things.
Oh, right.
Some plants need a lot of sunlight and not as much water.
But other plants need more water and not as much sunlight.
So it can be hard to learn all the things that you need when you're gardening.
And that's why you really have to learn about the plants you want in your garden
before you start.
You need to know what your plants need.
If you know what they need, then maybe your plants or your flowers won't die.
That's right.
One time I had some plants in my apartment.
And they died because there was not enough light in there.
