Welcome back, friends.
It's time for us to play a game.
And today we are going to tell you a Key Word Story using all of today's key
words.
So listen for the words. Here we go.
Joe has a problem at school.
His partner did not want to help him with the school project.
He couldn't decide what to do.
He wanted to tell his teacher that his partner wouldn't help him.
Joe couldn't form a plan. He took a long time to think.
Finally, Joe decided to be patient.
He would ask his partner to help.
Lucky for him, his partner helped him.
He thought they could expect a good grade after that.
OK, friends, that was our Key Word Story.
Right now, we're going to review today's lesson.
(Music).
Hello, everyone. Welcome to Let's Talk!
Do you have any bad habits?
What are some ways that we can break our bad habits and make good ones?
Well, here to give us some tips is my special guest, Dr. Hans Habit.
Welcome to the program, Dr. Habit.
Thank you, Rob. I'm glad to be here.
We all have habits we want to break.
How can we do that?
Well, first decide the habit you want to break.
Write it down.
And then?
Ask your friends to help you break the habit.
Try to find someone who wants to break the same habit.
Then you have a partner to work with.
Next, find something you can do instead of the habit.
For example?
Maybe you don't want to smoke anymore.
When you want to smoke, do something else.
Like have coffee with a friend or go for a walk?
That's right.
What other tips do you have?
Be patient with yourself.
You did not form your habit in one day.
Don't expect to break it in one day, either!
You can break a bad habit.
First, decide which habit you want to break.
If possible, find a partner who wants to change the same habit.
Then you can help each other.
Next, find another activity to do instead of the habit.
For example, if you want to smoke, have coffee with a friend or go for a walk.
And be patient with yourself.
You did not form your habit in one day.
So don't expect to break it in one day, either.
I'm snacking! I love snacking!
Hi, everybody.
Uh, Ginger, you're snacking again?
Yes. And you are late again.
Well, you're right.
We both have bad habits.
Yeah. Bad habits are fun!
But bad habits are bad.
Oh, no! So what should we do?
Well, Ginger, I think we should decide to break our bad habits.
You're right. You should stop being late.
And you should stop snacking.
OK! I'll stop snacking.
And I'll be on time.
OK. We can be partners and help each other.
Good idea.
Now, Ginger, give me some of your snacks like this one.
Hey!
Hello.
(Chinese).
Good morning, class.
In today's English lesson we're going...
Cindy, you're late!
Yes. I know, Mr. Thompson. I'm sorry.
But why are you late?
It's hard to wake up in the morning.
What time do you need to wake up?
6:30.
Cindy, I think you... I... I suggest you... One of your classmates... Someone
you...
Oh! I need Super Sentence Man.
And I am Super Sentence Man.
It's good to be back at your school.
Now the super sentence you need is:
Find someone who something the same something else.
Like this: Find someone who wakes up at the same time.
Find someone who wakes up at the same time.
Yes!
Great.
Now before I leave, can you use this super sentence in your own way?
Find someone who drives the same car.
Find someone who drives the same car. Great!
Cindy, what about you?
Do you have a super sentence for me?
Find someone who likes the same music.
Find someone who likes the same music.
Super!
Now what super sentence do you need to use with her?
Find someone who wakes up at the same time.
And that is how you use a super sentence.
And always remember, a super sentence every day will make your English great.
Cindy, find someone who wakes up at the same time.
And then get them to call you when they wake up.
That's a good idea.
I know. Now sit down and open your book!
Calendar Phrase.
Be patient with yourself.
Be patient with yourself.
(Chinese).
Oh. I can't do this homework.
Be patient with yourself.
I can't write this paper.
Be patient with yourself.
I can't answer this question.
Be patient with yourself.
Be patient. Be patient.
Hey! I can do it!
You can do your work?
No. I can be patient with myself.
Be patient with yourself.
Be patient with yourself.
(Chinese).
Well, that's all that we have for today, friends.
Did you learn a lot?
We hope that you did.
It's important to know what you can do to break bad habits.
You can do something instead of doing your bad habit.
If you smoke, you can go for a walk instead of smoking.
That's something that you can try.
Yeah. That is a good idea.
Habits are important things to talk about because we all have habits.
I have some good habits and bad habits.
Nathan, do you have a lot of good habits?
Well, I do have some good habits.
I like to read every day, and I try to exercise.
But we all have some good ones and some bad ones like we have said today.
And now that's all the time that we have for today, friends.
But don't worry.
We will be... we will be back on Monday for another show right here on...
Let's Talk in English. Bye-bye!
(Music).
