It's time for a key word game, friends.
And our game for today is called Two...
... in One.
That's right.
When we play Two in One, I will use two key words in one sentence.
Please tell me which key words I used.
Are you ready?
Here we go!
That pig is 35 inches long.
That pig is 35 inches long.
Well, most of our key words were numbers the last couple of days.
But we did talk about one animal, and that was a pig.
And we also talked about length.
So inch is the other key word.
Pig and inch.
Very good, Katie!
Those are the right key words.
And now, we should review today's conversations.
Hi, Mark.
What are you doing?
I'm looking at interesting pictures on the Internet.
Can I see?
Sure!
Like this pig!
Look how fat he is!
He must weigh a ton!
He doesn't weigh a ton.
He weighs 726 kilograms.
How do you know?
It says that next to the picture.
Oh.
How many pounds is that?
I'm not sure.
But it's a lot!
I can look it up.
Hmmm... one kilo is 2.2 pounds.
Then the pig weighs about... 1,600 pounds.
That's almost a ton.
Not really.
But it is a very big pig!
Now look at this really small animal.
It's a horse!
The smallest horse in the world!
He's only 43 centimeters tall.
How many inches is that?
I'm not sure.
But he's pretty short!
I'll look it up.
Let's see, one inch is 2.54 centimeters.
So that horse is about 17 inches tall.
That's really small!
Well, it's lunchtime.
Let's get something to eat.
Yes!
I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!
Not that horse!
How about a hamburger?
Will that satisfy you?
Sure!
But I could eat 10 hamburgers!
Really?
OK, maybe just two!
Look, Monkey Man!
I have a big, fat pig.
He must weigh a ton!
Well, Ginger, that pig is tiny.
I don't think it weighs a ton.
It weighs very little.
I know.
Just kidding!
Guess how much he weighs?
Hmm... let me see.
I would think... three pounds.
No, he weighs exactly one kilo.
Well, one kilo is 2.2 pounds.
That's almost 3 pounds.
Not really, Monkey Man... haha!
But soon, he'll weigh 3 pounds because pigs love to eat.
Hmm...
Well, I love to eat, too.
I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!
Well, I'm so hungry I could eat a banana!
A banana?
Yeah!
A banana that weighs a ton!
Wow, that would be cool.
Hello. (Chinese).
eREPORT.
Hi, friends.
My name is Katie, and this is eREPORT.
You know, there are many fun things that you can do in a city.
You can go to parks or the mall and many other great places.
But my favorite place to go to is the zoo.
Why do I like the zoo?
Let me show you!
The zoo is a great place where people can learn about many different kinds of
animals.
This zoo is one of the largest in Asia.
Here the animals have enough food, sunshine and space to move around.
There are animals of all sizes here.
There are tall giraffes, black and white zebras, and friendly elephants.
There are small green frogs and scary snakes.
Many children like to go to the zoo because they can see wild animals close up.
At a zoo, they can feel safe when they see a real tiger or wolf.
The zoo is a great place to see many animals from around the world in one place.
My favorite animals at the zoo are the monkeys.
They have so much fun playing in the trees.
What's your favorite animal at the zoo?
Maybe you can come to the zoo and see that animal.
This is Katie for eREPORT, hanging out with the monkeys.

(Chinese).
And we have finished our lesson for the day.
Friends, we hope you enjoyed it.
Nathan, I can't believe that we are finished with the month of October.
We learned so much this month.
That is true, Katie.
We did learn a lot.
We talked about TRAVEL, FOOD and HEALTH, and so much more.
There were some great topics this month.
That is true.
But I know that we have some more great things to talk about in November.
And that starts tomorrow.
So make sure that you join us again then.
We have a lot more to teach you.
So we will see you next time right here on...
Let's Talk in English.
Goodbye.
