Welcome back to the show, friends.
You know that we need to play a key word game now.
This game is called Two...
... in One.
That's right.
In this game, I will use two key words in one sentence.
Please tell me which key words I use.
Here's the sentence.
I like noodles, but these don't have much flavor.
I like noodles, but these don't have much flavor.
Well, we talked a lot about food today, so I think that noodles is one key word.
And I know that foods always have a taste.
So the other key word has to be flavor.
Noodle and flavor.
Am I right, Nathan?
Very good, Katie.
Noodle and flavor were the key words that I used.
OK, now it's time to review our conversations for today.
Megan, how was the new Indian restaurant?
You went there already?
Yes. Carol, Mark and I went there today.
The food was a little too spicy.
We were so thirsty!
Oh, no. What did Carol think?
She doesn't like spicy food.
She didn't like it. I felt bad.
Why did you feel bad?
Mark and I asked her to go with us.
I love spicy food.
I want to try that restaurant.
Do you like Thai food, Ken?
It's spicy.
I do! I love Thai curry!
Me, too!
Thai food is my favorite foreign food.
I love the flavors.
My favorite foreign food is Italian food.
I love spaghetti!
But it's not really foreign.
What about you, Ken?
I don't know.
I like so many different kinds of food!
Do you like Japanese food, Ken?
Some of it.
I like Japanese noodles, but sometimes they're really salty.
So Japanese food isn't your favorite?
No. Maybe my favorite foreign food is Mexican food.
Good choice!
I like Mexican food, too.
I love all the meat, cheese, beans, onions...
OK, now I'm ready for Mexican food.
And I just ate lunch!
Ginger, today we're talking about spicy food.
Yeah. I tried some spicy food.
You did?
Yes. I ate a spicy banana.
A spicy banana?
Yeah. Spicy bananas are h... hot!
Oh, no.
Oh, yes. And now I'm so thirsty!
Oh. Do you want a drink?
Yeah. (Here... Good).
All right, Ginger, now would you like to try something else?
Like what?
More spicy food.
No!
Like spicy curry.
No!
Or spicy spaghetti?
No!
How about spicy Mexican food?
No. How about more water?
Oh, OK. Here.
Hello.
(Chinese).
eREPORT.
Hello, everyone.
My name is Daniel, and this is eREPORT.
You know, there are many, many kinds of jobs.
Some are really interesting.
And some of the interesting jobs are right here at a TV studio.
Now you know some jobs already at a TV studio.
You saw some of the TV reporters like Susie and Anna.
But today let's take a look at some other jobs in a TV studio. Come!
This is a TV studio.
This studio records all the programs of Studio Classroom and Let's Talk in
English.
Many people work here to make these programs.
A TV program like Let's Talk in English starts with a writer.
The writer will write a script.
Then the script goes to the actor or teacher and the director.
The director is the boss in the studio.
A cameraman will help the director record the program.
After that, a person will make the program look better on a computer.
Here, a program will get music, too.
When the program is finished, it is ready to be seen on TV or on your phone.
There is a lot of time and work put into a TV program.
The people here at Studio Classroom work very hard to make a good program for
TV.
Hey, friends, if you want to visit a studio, then come to Studio Classroom!
They would love to have you visit.
This is Daniel for eREPORT on TV.
(Music).
Calendar Phrase.
Good choice.
Good choice.
(Chinese).
What do you want for lunch?
How about Italian food?
Good choice.
Or how about Mexican food?
Good choice.
Or how about Indian food?
Good choice.
Or how about noodles?
Noodles! That's the best choice.
Good choice.
Good choice.
(Chinese).
We've talked about so many different foreign foods and flavors today.
I hope you have learned some new words.
Maybe you've learned some new things about food, too.
Yes. In this lesson we talked about Indian food, Thai food, Italian food,
Japanese food and Mexican food.
We all... oh... oh, Nathan, we forgot to talk about Mexican food.
Ken's favorite kind of food is Mexican food.
Oh, no. You're right! And it's one of my favorites, too.
I can't believe we forgot to talk about it.
Do you think we still have time?
Oh... I don't think so.
We only have a few seconds left.
There's not enough time.
But our friends need to learn about it.
How can we... I know!
We can talk about it tomorrow right here on...
Let's Talk in English. Goodbye.
