Welcome back, friends.
It's time to play a game.
And today's game I think you all know.
It's called I Know It.
I Know It.
Do You Know It?
All right.
For this game, I will talk about one of today's key words.
When you know which key word I'm talking about, raise your hand and say...
I know it!
Are you ready?
Here we go.
OK.
This is something that I eat.
I usually have it with breakfast.
It can be anything like a banana or an apple.
Oh, oh! I know it!
When you said banana and apple, I knew that you were talking about fruit.
That's right.
The key word I was talking about was "fruit." There are many different kinds of
fruits.
OK, friends, that's all the time that we have now.
So let's go and review today's conversations.
(Music).
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.
Susie, why are you singing that?
Because Ken and I will visit MacDonald's Farm today.
Are you serious?
Is there really a MacDonald's Farm?
Yes.
MacDonald's Farm has fruits and vegetables.
They also have some new cows.
So? Are they special?
They sure are.
They are mini cows.
I'm reporting on them.
How small are they?
They weigh around 250 pounds.
Regular cows weigh at least 600 pounds.
Why does the farmer want small cows?
People visit his farm.
They can enjoy the cows.
What kind of a farm is MacDonald's Farm?
It's a "pick-your-own" farm.
People can pick their own fruits and vegetables there.
What a fun place!
Not many farms have mini cows.
So people come and see them.
Do these mini cows give milk?
Of course!
What color are they?
They are brown. Why?
Can you ask the farmer a question?
Sure. What?
Do brown cows give chocolate milk?
Mark! Are you serious?
No! Have fun at the farm!
(Music).
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.
Oh, Monkey Man, what are you doing?
Ginger, I'm singing Old MacDonald Had a Farm.
Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.
Do you know the song?
Yeah.
Old MacMonkey had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.
Ginger, did you say old MacMonkey?
Yeah, old MacMonkey had a farm.
Ginger, Ginger, it's old MacDonald.
Old MacMonkey, that's silly.
Well, yeah, MacMonkey is a silly monkey.
But it's not a song about MacMonkey.
That's really silly.
Well, OK, try it again.
Old MacDonald had a farm, A-B-C-D-E.
Ginger, A-B-C-D-E?
That's silly, too.
You have to sing it E-I-E-I-O.
Well, that's silly, too.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
Yeah, it is.
It is silly.
Hello.
(Chinese).
Calendar Phrase.
Are you serious?
Are you serious?
(Chinese).
I went to MacDonald's Farm.
Are you serious?
Yes.
You can pick your own fruit there.
Are you serious?
Yes.
And they have mini cows, too.
Are you serious?
Yes.
And they have mini elephants!
Mini elephants!
Are you serious?
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
No. That was a joke.
Yes, a mini joke.
Ha...
Are you serious?
Are you serious?
(Music).
It's time to answer it!
Question one:
What can Susie ask the farmer?
What can Susie ask the farmer?
The answer is in Conversation C:
Do brown cows give chocolate milk?
OK. Question two:
Do you like farms?
Why or why not?
Do you like farms?
Why or why not?
Let's hear our friends answer this question.
Do I like farms?
Yes, I do.
I come from New Zealand, and we have many farms.
Growing up, I had one friend who lived on a farm, and I would visit her often.
I would go to visit her to see horses, sheep, chickens and cows.
I would spend many times going and playing with her.
And it was very beautiful and green.
Do I like farms?
Yes, I love farms.
I'm from the city.
The city is loud and busy.
When I go to a farm, it's quiet.
It feels like I'm in nature, a little bit.
Some farms have animals.
I can pat horses.
Some farms have fresh fruits and vegetables, and maybe I can buy some there.
It's really fun to visit a farm.
But I still like living in the city better.
Do I like farms?
I love farms because I grew up on a farm.
We had chickens, cows, goats, horses...
I even had my own horse.
My grandfather would put me on his back and take me in the barn to milk the
cows.
And I would feed the chickens.
I was a little afraid of the goats because they would hit you if you weren't
looking.
So, yes, I love farms!
I miss our farm.
Do I like farms?
Sure!
Farms are a lot of fun!
There are a lot of different things that you can see and do on a farm.
You can see a lot of different animals, like horses and sheep and pigs and cows
and chicken and ducks and geese.
And you can visit a cornfield or an apple tree farm.
There are a lot of different farms that you can go to.
Farms are great.
Well, friends, we hope that you enjoyed this lesson.
We enjoyed teaching you and we hope that you learned a lot.
Come back tomorrow for part two of the lesson.
And we will see you then right here on...
Let's Talk in English.
Goodbye.
(Music).
