Welcome back.
It's the best part of our show.
It's time to play a game.
And today we are going to tell you a Key Word Story using all of our key words
from today.
So listen closely for them.
Are you ready?
Here we go.
A little while ago, Joan had a problem.
The bones in her arm really hurt.
She could barely move her arm.
So she made an appointment at the doctor's office.
She needed someone to help her.
On the way to the doctor's office, Joan started sneezing and couldn't stop.
It was an attack.
By the time she got to the office, she had stopped sneezing.
A nurse said hello and took her to the doctor.
Luckily, Joan was able to figure out what was wrong with her arm.
Well, that was a great story, friends.
I hope you heard all of today's key words.
Now let's review today's conversations.
(Music).
Hello, Carol.
Susie, I heard about your accident yesterday.
I'm sorry.
Me, too.
I shouldn't have tried to run down the stairs!
Susie, if you need to go home, please do.
You don't have to work today.
Thanks, Carol.
I might leave early.
My wrist still hurts.
And it will hurt for a while.
Did you break any bones?
No, but I sprained my wrist.
So Ken took you to the emergency room?
No, we didn't go to the ER.
We went to a clinic.
Did you need to make an appointment?
No, you can just walk in.
Then you wait for a doctor to see you.
I went to the ER once.
Why did you go to the ER?
I thought I was having a heart attack!
Were you really having a heart attack?
No. It was actually a panic attack.
But it felt like a heart attack.
I would have been scared.
I was! But a nurse helped me and explained what was happening.
She was very calm.
A nurse?
Why not a doctor?
All the doctors were busy with real emergencies.
Ginger, how do you feel today?
I feel furry.
No, I mean, are you OK?
No. My wrist hurts.
Oh, that's too bad.
Did you break it?
Ouch!
No, I sprained it.
Well, I'm glad you didn't break anything.
But I did.
I broke my banana, remember?
Yeah, I remember.
Well, I'm glad you didn't break any bones.
Yeah, me too.
So what did the doctor say?
He said, "Take this pain medicine." Hmm. Anything else?
He said, "Pay one hundred dollars." One hundred dollars!
That's a lot of money.
I know.
My wrist and my wallet hurt!
Mmm.
Wow.
Hello.
(Chinese).
Mr. Nelson.
Brianna!
What are you doing here alone?
I told you to get some workers and bring them with you.
Well, I wanted to, boss, but...
But what?
But, well, I asked them to come.
But you see, the workers... the people who work for you... all of them... all of
them are, no, were...
Oh, I need Super Sentence Man.
All of the workers were busy with important work.
All of the workers were busy with important work.
Yes. Thank you.
That was a super sentence.
I am Super Sentence Man.
And the super sentence for today is...
All the something were busy with something else.
Now, Brianna, can you use this super sentence in your own way?
Sure.
All the people on the MRT were busy with their phones.
All the people on the MRT were busy with their phones.
What about you, Mr. Nelson?
Can you use today's super sentence in your own way?
Oh, sure.
Uh...
All of the parents were busy with their little children.
Ah, yes.
All the parents were busy with their little children.
Super!
Now, Brianna, do you remember what super sentence you need to use with your
boss?
Mr. Nelson, all the workers were busy with important work.
Really?
But I wanted to show them an important picture of my cute little dog.
See? Isn't it cute?
Aww, he is so cute.
What do you think, Super Sentence Man?
I think a super sentence every day will make your English great!
No, no. What do you think of my cute little dog?
Oh. Uh, he's cute.
Yeah, he is.
Thanks for stopping by my office.
Calendar Phrase.
I don't have to work today.
I don't have to work today.
(Chinese).
Hooray!
I don't have to work today.
Oh. That's nice.
Yeah. I don't have to work today.
You can relax.
Yeah. I don't have to work today.
You can read a book.
Yeah. I don't have to work today.
I love Saturday.
But today is Friday!
Oh! Oh, no!
I have to work today!
I don't have to work today.
I don't have to work today.
(Chinese).
Well, I am so glad that Susie is OK.
A trip to the clinic is never fun.
But at least she did not have to go to the emergency room.
You're right, Nathan.
Now why didn't a doctor help Carol in the emergency room?
Well, that's an easy question.
Because all the doctors were busy with real emergencies.
Doctors are always busy.
That is true.
Now friends, I hope that you have enjoyed these last two lessons.
But join us again tomorrow for Saturday's review show.
And we'll see you again Monday right here on...
Let's Talk in English.
Bye-bye.
