Welcome to LTE TV.
My name is Katie.
And it is the last Saturday of July.
And now it's time to review our week of lessons again.
We know Mark is doing a good job at the station.
People like him.
They say so on the station's Facebook page.
He likes his job.
But what does Mark sometimes get tired of?
We'll find out.
Later in the week, we learned about TV shows.
What is your favorite kind of TV shows?
There are a lot of different kinds.
Who can enjoy talent shows?
I think everyone can.
Find the answers to these questions while you review last week's lessons.
(Music).
Hi, Mark. Did you finish your story?
Yes, Susie.
I'm ready for tomorrow's news program.
You're doing a good job.
Our audience likes you.
How do you know?
I looked at our Facebook page.
Well, I like the station.
Everyone is very nice.
No one is too loud.
There was one loud person.
But he quit last month.
I can't work around loud people.
I can't think.
I can't, either.
I am noisy sometimes.
But I'm usually quiet.
I like that.
Work time is for work.
That's right.
Sometimes I am a slow worker.
But I always finish my work.
Me, too. I like a quiet office.
Then I can prepare my stories well.
So are you ready for lunch, Mark?
Sure! Let's go to Burger Bob's again.
OK! It's a fun place.
And I really like the owner.
Yes. He is very friendly.
He serves good food.
So he is very successful!
And he is proud of his restaurant.
Let's go eat now.
Lunch time is for lunch!
Nice job on the news this morning, Mark.
Yes. You looked calm and sounded confident.
Thanks. But I felt nervous!
It didn't show.
You read some interesting stories, too.
They were interesting.
But there wasn't much good news.
Sometimes I get tired of bad news.
Our audience gets tired of bad news, too!
So I try to find some good stories.
You shared a humorous one this morning.
Yes. I liked it.
Which story?
The one about the parrot.
He stole one $1,000 from a man in New Zealand.
Really? How?
The man stopped to take some pictures.
The bird flew in his car window and flew out with the money.
What does a parrot do with $1,000?
Who knows?
What did the man do?
He had generous friends.
They gave him money so he could finish his trip.
That's nice.
But he was careless with his money.
Maybe. But it's a funny story!
Yes. People need to laugh at some stories.
They hear enough bad news.
True. But the parrot story was bad news for one person!
Yes. The man who lost his money!
Hi, Megan. You're happy this morning.
Hi, Ken. I am!
I just watched my favorite TV show.
What is your favorite TV show?
Fran's Life.
Oh. What kind of show is it?
A comedy? A drama?
It's a comedy.
The show is 30 minutes.
Comedies are great!
I love funny shows.
What other kinds of shows do you watch?
I like dramas.
The stories are interesting.
And exciting!
Yes. Sometimes there is a lot of action!
The actors are usually really good, too.
Do you ever watch reality TV shows?
No. People fight a lot on reality TV shows.
I agree. I don't enjoy that.
What about travel shows?
I like travel shows.
They show you so many different places!
My favorite travel show is Travel the World.
Luke Jones is the host.
He's very good.
Do you like cooking shows?
No. I'm not a fan.
Why not?
I can't eat the food!
I can only see it!
Hi, Mark.
Did you see Dance! on channel 12 last night?
Yes, I did. Susie.
It was a good episode!
I agree! I love talent shows.
Me, too.
Talent shows are never boring.
You're right.
Anyone can enjoy a talent show.
There is something for everyone on the show.
My brother likes it.
My mom likes to watch the show, too.
There were a lot of contestants last night.
Yes. They're all so different.
Some are really good.
But some are not so good.
But they all tried their best.
Yes. They must practice a lot!
Who is your favorite contestant?
Dan is my favorite.
Why?
He has great dance moves!
He's handsome, too!
Did you vote for him?
Fans need to vote.
Then Dan can stay on the show.
Yes! I vote for him every week by texting.
Wow. You must really like him!
I do. Who is your favorite?
I like Lisa . She is amazing.
Did you vote for her?
No. I forgot!
Where is my phone?
(Music).
Hello, everyone. Welcome to Let's Talk!
So who is your favorite actor or actress?
Well, today we are going to talk to one of my favorite actors.
Please help me welcome Mr. Andy Actor!
Welcome to our show, Andy.
Thank you, Rob.
You're a famous actor.
You won another award last week.
Congratulations!
Thank you.
You play such good characters.
Which one was your favorite?
I enjoyed playing all of them.
But Ted Texas was my favorite.
I liked him, too.
Ted Texas was a real hero.
I love playing heroes!
I'm sure you need to memorize a lot of lines.
Yes. There are some days when I have to memorize hundreds of lines!
That's not easy.
Do you ever get nervous when you act?
Sometimes. But I still have fun.
You must have a lot of fans, right?
I do. They are the best!
They send me letters, pictures and gifts.
Wow, I want fans!
Rob is interviewing a famous actor named Andy Actor.
He has won several awards, and even won another one last week.
He has played many characters, and they were all really good.
Andy's favorite character was Ted Texas because he was such a hero.
Sometimes Andy gets nervous when he acts.
He needs to memorize a lot of lines.
But he still has fun.
And he has the best fans.
They send him letters, pictures and gifts.
Welcome back.
I hope you enjoyed reviewing our conversations.
Let's see how well you were listening.
Katie! Teacher Katie! I have a question.
What? You have a question?
That's new.
Eh... I dare to be different, and all that.
I don't want to be too predictable.
All right, Chrsi, what is your question?
Well, OK. Do you like loud people?
Um, that's sort of a weird question.
Why do you ask?
Well, Mark doesn't like loud people.
And Susie doesn't, either.
So I thought I would ask.
Well, since you did ask, I will answer.
I am quiet.
But I do like loud people.
Sometimes they make me laugh.
That's good.
There's a lot of loud people around here sometimes.
That's right, like you.
Yes, that's... that's right.
I know, I am loud, loud, loud, loud.
All right. Let's uh, let's get back on track.
I asked a couple questions earlier.
Are you ready to try to answer them?
What do you mean "try"?
Do or do not. There... there is no try.
Uh, all right. OK, Chris, here is the first question.
We know Mark likes his new job.
But what does he sometimes get tired of?
Does he get tired of bad news?
Yes, Mark gets tired of bad news.
I would, too.
I don't like to read the bad news.
That's probably why Mark reports a humorous story, right?
That's right.
We also know Mark is calm and confident when he is on the air.
So that means he is not stressed out.
Exactly.
OK, here is the next question.
We also talked about TV shows last week.
Who can enjoy talent shows?
Katie, that's just too easy!
Everyone knows the answer to that.
Well, Chris, you haven't answered yet.
Right. Anyone can enjoy talent shows.
You're right.
Talent shows are fun to watch.
Lots of interesting things happen.
People on talent shows have to practice a lot.
It's hard work.
You are right about that.
And it's fun to pick your favorite contestant.
OK, friends, we are running out of time.
Why don't we take a short break now.
That sounds good.
See yousoon.
