It plays a very important part of this chapter. It is a fable story about “The fisherman and the fish”. According to the story , it tells us we should be kind and shouldn’t be greedy Part 1 Analysis of the Teaching Material THE TEACHING   AIMS   教学目标 (1) (1)The aims of the knowledge: To learn “The Fisherman and the Fish” in order to master the skills of reading (2) The aims of the abilities : To improve the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing by scanning the story. THE TEACHING   AIMS   教学目标 (2) THE TEACHING   AIMS   教学目标 (3) (3) The aims of the emotion: We should be a kind man and help the others (1) To master the phrases and the long sentences (2) To learn the skills of the reading THE TEACHING   KEY   POINTS 教学的重点 TEACHING   DIFFICULTIES 教学的难点 According to learn the reading to scan the story and retell the meaning of the story SOMETHING ABOUT THE STUDENTS 1. The students are lack of vocabulary. 2. They don’t often use English to express and communicate with others. 3.Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. (1) Teach the students by five teaching steps to realize the contents (2) speaking, reading and acting Part 2 Teaching Methods 1). To analyze and solve the problems on the students’ own. 2). To get information through listening, watching and reading. 3). To be able to guess the meaning of some words and sentences in the reading material with the teacher’s help. Part 3 Learning Methods Step 1 Lead-in (5 minutes) Step 2 Presentation (15 minutes) Step 3 Consolidation (5 minutes) Step 4 Oral practise (10 minutes) Step 5 Homework (5minutes) Part 4 Teaching Steps Step 1. Lead-in Before reading the story,ask Ss whether they heard about the story “The Fisherman and the Fish”. If they have,talk about the story in Chinese 1.Ask and answer about the story: (1) Do you know this story? (2) what’s the meaning of this story? 2.Ask students to read through the story and check if the main idea of the story they talked about is correct Step 2 Presentation 1.Show the PPt and let the stuednts watch it. 2.Listen to the tape about this story and think about some easy questions: (1) Who is kind ? (2) Who is greedy? 3.Read the story 4.Then listen to the tape again and answer these questions (1) What were the fisherman’s wife’s four wishes? (2) What was the weather like when each of her wishes was made? (3) At last, what happened to the fisherman and his wife? (4) what can we learn from the story? (5) what would you wish for if you found the golden fish? 5. Read together with the tape. 6. Retell this story by himself/herself. Step 3 Consolidation • Do exercises in workbook on page 65 Step 4 Oral practise 1. Make up a dialogue with partner to scan this story 2. Talk about : what would you wish for if I catch this golden fish? 3. Talk about : what can we learn from the story? 4. Ask the students to act out this story. Step 5 Homework write a composition about the greedy story. Design of the blackboard Chapter6 ---- More practise 1.offer to 2.shout at 3.promise to sb 4.apoligze to sb What would you wish for if we catch the golden fish?
