Teaching plan of chapter 6--More practise <The Fisherman and the Fish> --by luwei from Tongle school The teaching aims : (1) The aims of the knowledge: To learn “The Fisherman and the Fish” in order to master the skills of reading (2) The aims of the abilities : To improve the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing by scanning the story (3) The aims of the emotion: To be a kind man The teaching key points: (1) To master the phrases and the long sentences (2) To learn the skills of the reading The teaching difficulties: According to learn the reading to scan the story and retell the meaning of the story The teaching aids: Projector, Slide show, Tape recorder and PPt The teaching procedures: Step1: Lead-in (5 minutes) Before reading the story, ask Ss whether they heard about the story “The Fisherman and the Fish”. If they have, talk about the story in Chinese 1.Ask and answer about the story: (1) Do you know this story? (2) what’s the meaning of this story? 2.Ask students to read through the story and check if the main idea of the story they talked about is correct Step2: Presentation (15 minutes) 1.Show the PPt and let the stuednts watch it . 2.Listen to the tape about this story and think about some easy questions: (1) Who is kind ? (2) Who is greedy? 3.Read the story within a few minutes. 4.Then listen to the tape again and answer these questions (1) What were the fisherman’s wife’s four wishes? (2) What was the weather like when each of her wishes was made? (3) At last, what happened to the fisherman and his wife? (4) what can we learn from the story? (5) what would you wish for if you found the golden fish? 5. Read together with the tape. 6. Retell this story by himself/herself. Step3: Consolidation (5 minutes) Do exercises in workbook on page 65 Step4: Oral practise (10 minutes) 1. Make up a dialogue with partner to scan this story 2. Talk about : what would I do when I catch this golden fish? 3. Talk about : what can we learn from the story? 4. Ask the students to act out this story. Step5: Homework (5 minutes) write a composition about the greedy story. If there was enough time, let the Ss to act Design of the blackboard: Chapter6 ---- More practise 1.offer to 2.shout at 3.promise to sb 4.apoligze to sb What would you do if we catch the golden fish?
