Welcome back, friends.
It's that part of our show.
It's time to play a game.
And this game is called I Know It!
I Know It!
Do you know it?
OK, for this game, I will describe a key word.
When you know which key word I'm talking about, raise your hand and say...
I know it!
Are you ready?
Here we go.
This is something I say when someone ask me a question.
I tell them what they want to know.
Katie, stop!
I already know the answer.
The answer is "answer".
Good job, Nathan.
You are right.
The key word that I used was "answer".
I'm sure you were right, too, friends.
But right now we need to review today's conversations.
(Music).
Hey, Rob.
Here's some coffee.
Can we talk?
Sure, Joe.
What's on your mind?
Well, I may quit my job here.
Really? Why?
Don't you like your job?
I really like my job!
But my dream job is in New York City.
What kind of job is it?
The job is at an ad agency.
Did you interview for the job?
Yes. And they offered it to me!
When do they want your answer?
By Wednesday!
So what are you thinking?
I like the job.
It pays well.
I hope so.
New York City is expensive.
Yes. But I can live outside the city.
I can take the train to work.
You can't get to work very fast in New York.
I know.
I can get to my job here in about five minutes.
That's convenient.
I know.
And this job pays well, too.
But the new job is a great one!
Well, make a list of the good and bad things about the new job.
Then you can decide.
Hey, hey, Monkey Man.
Hey, Monkey Man! Monkey Man!
Oh. What's up, Ginger?
What are you doing?
I'm sorry.
I was just dreaming about my dream job.
Haha, your dream job?
Yeah, my dream job.
It's a fun job.
Yeah?
Yeah, my dream job pays well.
Yeah?
And my dream job is a great job.
Yeah?
Yeah.
So what is your dream job?
My dream job is the job I have right now!
My dream job is Monkey Man!
Good. Don't quit your job, Monkey Man.
Not now, Ginger.
I'm dreaming about my dream job.
You're funny.
(Music).
Hello, everyone.
I'm Christina.
(Chinese).
Calendar Phrase.
Can we talk?
Can we talk?
(Chinese).
Hey, Bob. Can we talk?
Sure.
Wait.
I have a call.
OK.
Can we talk?
Sure.
Excuse me.
I have an email.
OK.
Can we talk?
Sure.
Just a minute.
I have a text message.
OK.
Can we talk?
Sure.
What's on your mind?
Uh, I forgot.
Can we talk?
Can we talk?
(Chinese).
Well, it's time to Answer It!
So here is question number one.
What can Joe make a list of?
What can Joe make a list of?
Look for the answer in Conversation C.
He can make a list of the good and bad things about the job.
Now question two.
How do you decide something?
How do you decide something?
Let's hear from our friends.
How do I decide something?
Well, for me, the bigger the decision, the more energy and time I'd put into
making it.
Deciding what movie to watch or what to eat for lunch is a small and easy
decision, right?
But what about the big decisions, like where to go to school, or what job to
get?
In cases like these, take your time, compare the pros and cons, and seek advice
from people you trust.
How do I decide something?
Well first, I'd spend some time praying.
I ask God what the best decision would be.
Then I look at my choices.
I try to see what might happen if I choose one or the other.
Then I talk to some of my friends or my family or people that I trust, and I try
to get some advice.
After that, I try to make the best decision that I can.
How do I decide something?
Well, I often think about it a long time.
I will think about the good things and the bad things for this decision.
What should I do?
And if I don't know what to do, then I ask my friends or my family to help me
make a good decision.
They often know what is best.
And then, when I have a decision, I make it, and I stick to it.
That's what I do.
How do I decide something?
That's easy!
I make a list before I make a choice.
I think about all the good things and all the bad things.
And then I make a choice.
And then I think about it more, and I make a different choice.
And then sometimes I make a different choice.
Oh, it's not easy to decide things.
Well, that's all our time for today.
But find out what Joe will decide tomorrow here on...
Let's Talk in English.
Goodbye.
(Music).
