Let's try making a key word story today.
We are going to put all of today's key words into a...
Key word story.
Here we go.
This is a story about Simon the snake.
Simon the snake thought he was super.
He not only thought he was super, he thought he was fantastic.
Simon was a rare snake.
You didn't see many snakes like him.
Why was he so rare?
Because he was purple.
Other snakes didn't treat Simon well.
They were mean to him.
They laughed at him.
They didn't think he was precious.
Though the other snakes didn't treat him well, Simon still enjoyed a lot of
activity in his life.
In his heart, he knew he was super, amazing and precious.
And that's our key word story about Simon the purple snake.
Now let's review today's conversations together.
(Music).
Hello, everyone.
Welcome to Let's Talk!
Sunday is Mother's Day.
So today we are going to talk with a supermom.
Please help me welcome Mrs. Sarah Mere.
Hi, Sarah! How are you?
I'm fantastic, Rob.
Great!
So Sarah, you are a full-time mother.
I am. I have seven children.
Seven! That's terrific!
How old are they?
I have two sets of twins.
They are 10 and 8.
Those are fun ages.
Yes. And my other children are 5, 3, and this is my youngest, Hannah.
She is 18 months old.
Hi, Hannah! Welcome to the show!
Sarah, it's rare these days for people to have so many children.
What is it like to have such a big family?
It is great, Rob.
Our house is always full of activity.
I'm sure!
But don't you ever get tired?
Being a mother does take a lot of energy, but I enjoy my family.
I spoke with some of your friends.
They call you a "supermom." What do you think about that?
I just love my family, Rob.
Each child is precious.
And I do my best to treat them that way.
Well, I think you are a super mom, Sarah.
Happy Mother's Day.
Thanks, Rob!
And Happy Mother's Day to every mom.
We appreciate you!
Ginger, why are you wearing that big "S".
Because I'm Supermom!
Ginger, you're not a supermom.
You don't have any children.
Oh, yeah. Well, then, I'm Super Monkey!
Ginger, that's a little silly, too.
And you are Super Monkey Man!
Super Monkey Man?
Well, that does sound good.
Yeah. And you'll look good, too.
You can wear your Super Monkey T-shirt.
This is for me?
Yeah.
I can wear this?
Yeah.
Wow! This is super!
Yeah. And we wish all our supermoms a super Mother's Day.
Thanks, Ginger.
Hello.
(Chinese).
Are you having a good time with your dolls there, Sydney?
I sure am.
We're having a good time, right, Annie?
She says she's having fun.
That's cute.
Oh, tell me, Sydney.
How old are you this year?
I'm seven and a half, Grandpa.
Oh.
Hey, Grandpa, tell me how...
Tell me what you like...
Tell me about being old...
What can you say...
Sydney, it sounds like you need Super Sentence Man.
Yes, you do.
And I am Super Sentence Man... again.
The super sentence for today is: What is it like to do or be something?
What is it like to be 96 years old?
What is it like to be 96 years old?

Well Grandpa, can you make your own super sentence?
I think I can.

But that was a super sentence.
Remember, a super sentence every day will make your English great.
Now what super sentence do you need to say to Grandpa?
Grandpa, what is it like to be 96 years old?
Haha... Sydney, you'll have to ask me again in about ten years.
I'm only 86!
