Hello, everyone.
Welcome to Let's Talk in English.
We've had a busy week here at the LTE TV station.
And now it's time to review some of the things we talked about.
This week we talked about spring.
And we also talked about listening to music.
And now we're going to review some of our conversations together.
Here we go.
Hello, Megan!
Those are pretty flowers.
They are for you, Carol!
Flowers for me?
Thank you very much!
But why?
Because it's spring.
Spring is my favorite season.
Spring is my favorite season, too.
I love the weather.
Me, too.
I went through the park on my way to work.
Everything was so pretty and green.
Today is a nice day.
The sky is so blue.
And the air is so fresh.
I love it.
Spring is great!
I agree.
The weather is not too cold.
And it is not too hot!
Maybe I can go to the park at lunchtime.
Then I can enjoy the weather.
You can see all the flowers, too!
Don't get too excited about spring, Carol.
Why not?
Because it's snowing.
Snowing? It can't be snowing!
Why not?
Spring weather changes a lot.
But I like warm weather!
I don't want any more snow!
And I didn't wear a coat to work today.
I didn't, either.
Don't worry. You don't need one.
April fool!
So Susie, how was your Easter?
It was nice.
I went to church early in the morning.
At sunrise?
Yes. That's an Easter tradition in my family.
I went to church at 11:00.
I don't like to get up early!
What about you, Rob?
I went to church early, too.
Then I had a big Easter dinner!
I had a big Easter dinner, too.
Some friends invited me to their house.
Did you have ham?
Yes! We had ham, two kinds of potatoes, salad, rolls and...
Stop! I'm getting hungry!
So you enjoyed a good dinner, Ken.
Yes. My friend's wife is a very good cook!
I'm a good cook, too.
I made my own dinner!
Did you eat alone?
Oh, no. I invited friends to my house, too.
Good. You shouldn't be alone on holidays.
I never am.
I see my family or I do things with friends.
Me, too.
What's the next holiday to look forward to?
Uh, Mother's Day?
Yes. Most people enjoy a nice meal on that day, too!
I know! I'm already looking forward to it!
Megan, do you listen to music at work?
Sometimes I do.
Do you use headphones?
Yes, I do.
Then my music doesn't bother people.
Do you listen to music in the office?
No. But Susie does.
And she doesn't use headphones.
Does her music bother you?
No. She plays good music!
Susie only plays her music on Friday afternoons.
And that's a good time for music.
Does music help you work better?
Yes! But some people don't like music at work.
True. But I like it.
Where else do you listen to music?
I listen to music in my car.
Me, too.
I can't drive without music!
Do you sing along with the radio?
I do!
I do, too.
I always sing in the car.
I also listen to music on the bus or on the subway.
Many people do.
Everyone on the subway has an MP3 player with them!
But they don't sing along with their music.
And that's good!
(Music).
You sound great, Rob.
Huh?
Oh, hey, Ken and Susie.
Sorry, I'm listening to some music.
And you're singing along!
What are you listening to?
Some Korean pop songs.
My cousin told me about some good Korean singers.
Do you listen to a lot of pop music?
I listen to some pop music.
But I like other kinds of music, too.
What other kinds of music do you like?
I like some hip-hop songs.
And I listen to rock music, too.
What about you two?
I usually listen to old pop songs.
I also like country songs.
We know.
You play country music in the office.
Hey, I don't play music that often.
I know. Just on Fridays.
Ken, do you listen to music often?
Well, I didn't before.
But now I do!
Why? What changed?
My girlfriend loves jazz.
I listened to her CDs, and I started to like it, too.
Jazz is fun to listen to.
It is.
I like all the different instruments.
And you don't have to buy any CDs.
Right. I just borrow my girlfriend's!
(Music).
Hello, everyone, and welcome to Let's Talk!
Today we are talking about music.
Please help me welcome our guest, Ms. Mindy Music.
Welcome, Mindy Music!
How do people get music these days?
Most people download MP3s from websites or online music services, Rob.
Do they pay for those MP3s?
Yes, many people do.
What about CDs?
They're not very popular now.
People are buying fewer CDs than before.
Is that because MP3s are more convenient?
Yes! They are easy to download and easy to store.
People listen to the radio on the Internet, too.
Yes! Radio station websites play live shows.
People can listen on their smartphones, too!
Speaking of smartphones, people use apps to listen to music.
They do!
Songza is a free music app.
It suggests playlists for you.
Tell me more.
The playlists depend on the time of day, your mood and what you're doing.
That sounds great!

Hello, everyone.
I hope you enjoyed reviewing our conversations.
Now it's time to see if you were listening carefully.
Rob! Hello, old friend.
It's good to see you.
It's good to see you, too, Chris.
How are you?
I'm doing well.
Spring is here.
I love spring.
I love the warm weather and the fresh air.
It's wonderful.
It is wonderful.
Hey, Chris, can you help me with something?
Sure, Rob.
What is it?
Well, did you watch the conversations earlier?
Of course.
I love watching Let's Talk in English TV.
Great! Then you can help us answer some questions about this week's lessons.
I'll try.
All right.
Well, in the beginning of the week, Ken played a trick on Carol.
Yes. He told her it was snowing.
That's right.
Now do you remember what he said to her after he tricked her?
I do remember.
He said: April fool.
That's right, April fool.
Monday was April Fool's Day.
That is a day when people trick one another.
And Ken tricked Carol.
I like Ken. He's a funny guy.
He is.
OK, Chris, one more question.
We also talked about music this week.
Do you remember what kind of music I like to listen to?
Your girlfriend likes jazz.
So you like to listen to jazz.
Uh, no, Chris.
That's Ken.
Ken's girlfriend likes jazz.
I like to listen to pop, rock and some hip-hop.
Oh, that's right.
I remember now.
You know, I like to listen to hip-hop, too.
You do?
Yes. Do you want to hear my favorite song?
Uh, sure.
Great! I'll sing it for you.
(Music).
