So Chris, are you feeling better?
Yes. Thanks for being there.
I hate dogs now.
Oh, don't say that.
One dog chased you.
Not all dogs are bad.
How do you know that?
Well, I used to have a dog.
And I tried to be responsible.
I taught my dog good habits.
When I did that, my dog was nice to everyone.
Are you sure?
That dog was not very nice.
Well, I'm sure.
My dog was very nice.
He liked to play with everyone he met.
Well, OK, if you say so.
Chris, you'll be fine.
You know what will make you feel better?
Watching some of our features.
Let's watch them.
Tick-tock . Tick-tock.
Hello, again.
It's me, Mr. Clocks.
And I have wonderful news for you!
Soon all our alarm clocks will be on sale.
They'll be 50 percent off.
Wait a minute.
Did I say 50 percent?
Yes, I did.
That's crazy, right?
Everyone needs a good alarm clock to start their day.
Alarm clocks help us to wake up in the morning or remember something very
important.
What was that again?
What should you remember today?
That Mr. Clocks is having a great sale!
Come buy one, two, or even three clocks.
You can give them for your family and friends, too.
Our prices are very, very good.
So don't just wait around and do nothing.
Come on over to Mr. Clocks' this very hour!
Everyone needs clocks.
And we have the best.
Tick-tock. Tick-tock.
(Music).
eREPORT.
Hi, this is Anna for eREPORT.
I'm at a farm today.
There are many different kinds of farms.
Some farms grow crops, like corn and wheat.
There are also animal farms - chicken farms, pig farms, horse farms and dairy
farms.
There are cows on dairy farms.
Speaking of cows, I think I smell some.
Come on. Let's go find some.
Most dairy farms are very big.
They have many cows.
This farm has 650 cows.
Most dairy cows are black and white like these.
Some cows stay inside a barn and eat there.
Other cows stay outside and eat grass.
Cows give a lot of milk.
How much milk does one of these cows give each day?
30 to 45 liters!
The dairy farmer milks the cows twice each day.
He uses special machines to do this.
After the farmer milks the cows, the milk is put in a machine.
This cleans it and makes it safe to drink later.
The milk can then be used to drink, or to make cheese, butter and ice cream.
And some of the milk goes to baby cows.
Nothing like a cold glass of milk on a warm day.
I love milk.
Do you like milk?
It's really good for you.
And it's really great to come to a dairy farm to see where all this milk comes
from and all these cows.
Thank you, cows, for the milk.
This is Anna with eREPORT reporting from the farm.
Hello.
You are here, and I am here.
I am Super Sentence Man.
It is good for me to be here to share a super sentence just with you.
You heard Rob say in the lesson: Active dogs need a place to run, don't they?
Well, the super sentence is:
Something needs something else to something.
Like this:
Busy people need time to relax.
The child needs a safe place to play.
Tired people need a place to rest.
The baby needs a place to sleep.
The students need time to study.
We need a restaurant to eat at.
Yes, because we are hungry.
The kids need something to do.
Or you could say: Mom needs something to cook for dinner.
Our family needs a place to go on vacation because we need a vacation.
Jack needs a way to get to the airport.
I need a way to talk to my friend Arthur.
You could say: Musicians need time to practice.
Students need quiet places to study in.
The girl needs a box to put her dolls in.
The dog needs a place to run.
Well, this is a great place.
Now it is your turn.
Use this super sentence in your own way.
And remember, a super sentence every day will make your English great.
And now I am on my way.
All right. Welcome back.
I had many pets when I grew up.
My family loved pets.
We had birds.
We had fish.
We had rabbits.
We had dogs.
We had to be responsible with all of them.
What other things should you be responsible with?
Maybe it's your work.
Maybe it's your homework.
Or maybe it's your friendships.
All right, friends.
