I have some children's books.
The TV station might start a new children's program.
Great! Are you helping with it?
Yes. I can get ideas from these books.
This book is about a snake and a mouse.
They are best friends.

I love this one!
My parents read it to me many times.
Yes, that one is a classic!
Children's books are so fun.

I'm writing down ideas for the children's program.
I already have some great ideas for you!
You do? You're fast!
I read a lot of kids' books to get ideas, and they inspired me.
Which book inspired you most?
This one!
It's about a young princess.
But she doesn't want to be a princess.
What does the princess want to be?
She's not sure.
But she thinks about many different jobs.
The princess wants to work.
Cute!
The princess loves her kingdom, but she is curious about different careers.
So what ideas did this book give you for the TV program?
The kids on the program can have different jobs.
So on the show, the kids have jobs like adults?
Yes! The kids can live in a little village together.
There can be a doctor, a barber, a farmer and others.
They can all talk about their jobs.
Right! The program can help children learn about different careers!

It is!
My camera stopped working, and my phone was getting old.
My son told me to buy this kind of phone.
Fun!
So you can take a picture and then share it right away.

Does the phone take good pictures?
I think so.
I'm still learning how to use the camera.

You're going to talk about storing pictures, is that right?
That's right!
Many people have a lot of digital photos.
And they aren't sure what to do with them.
Can they just save them on their computer?
Is that good enough?
It's a good start!
People can also save their photos online.
Tell us about that.
There are many websites that allow you to store photos for free.
So you can upload all your photos to one of those websites?
Yes. But check if there is a limit.
If you upload more than the limit, you might need to pay.
Why do websites let you store photos for free?
They hope you'll order pictures from them.
When they print your pictures, they make money.
I see.
When you create an online photo album, decide who you want to share it with.
Do you have to share it?
No. But many people want to share their photos with friends or family members.
So how do you share the album?
You email a link to them.
Just check your settings to be sure that not everyone can see your album.
Good idea.

I asked you what you were reading.
I'm reading The Hobbit.
It's a great novel!
Have you read it?
No, but I saw the movie last December.
I did, too.
But it was just the first movie.
There will be another one this December.
And a third one in the summer of 2014.
I plan to see them all!
Have you read The Hobbit, Carol?
No. It's too long.
I don't really like to read long books.
But it's such a great story!
A hobbit named Bilbo enjoys a comfortable life until Gandalf the wizard comes.
Then he takes Bilbo on an adventure.
And what an adventure!
Are there more details in the book than in the movie?
Yes, there are!
And I love the way the author writes.
So you saw the movie, too?
Yes. That's why I'm reading the book.
I want to know more about the story.
I'd like to know how the story ends.
Does Bilbo find the treasure?
If you want to know, you'll have to read the book.
Or you can wait more than a year to see the other movies.
It will be faster to just read the book - even for me!

No, I haven't.
But I did read the novel.
I like reading a novel much more.

You get to see the story.
Well, I like it when I can imagine everything.
I don't like it when the movie tells me what something looks like.
Imagine? What do you mean "imagine"?
Well, if a book talks about a king fighting a dragon, I like to think that king
is a bird king.
In movies, it's always a man.
Huh. Well, that's interesting.
People tell me that books often tell the story more.
Some movies don't tell you about some adventures or other characters.
That's right.
That's why you should read the books.
Hmm, I should, shouldn't I?

I like so many.
