Hello, friends, welcome back.
Now it's time for a Key Word...
Story.
A Key Word...
Story.
The part of our show where we put all of our key words into a Key Word...
Story.
Excellent.
OK, here is our story.
All right.
And after our story, I'm sure that you can make a Key Word Story, too.
Pei enjoys Dragon Boat Festival.
This year she wrote a story about the festival.
She interviewed her family to find out what they like most.
Her aunt Mei likes the dragon boat races.
Her uncle Kai likes the food.
He makes interesting rice treats for the festival.
He makes them with ham and sweet potato.
Uh, that's not really traditional.
Well, her cousin Li eats a lot of spring rolls over the holiday.
He likes eating.
Pei looks forward to next year's Dragon Boat Festival already.
Well friends, we look forward to hearing your story.
You can write us your story at letters@StudioClassroom.com.
Right now it's time for us to review today's lesson.
Excuse me, sir.
Can you answer a few questions?
Sure.
What's this for?
I'm interviewing people for Let's Talk!
I'd like to know what your favorite holiday foods are.
Hmm, we just celebrated Thanksgiving.
Name your favorite Thanksgiving foods!
Turkey, stuffing and sweet potatoes.
My mom makes the best stuffing.
No, my mom makes the best stuffing!
Well, don't tell my mother!
Excuse me!
Can you answer a few questions for me?
Sure.
What are your favorite holiday foods?
Holiday foods?
Ham is my favorite meat on holidays.
Anything else?
Chinese holidays have wonderful foods!
I love rice dumplings during Dragon Boat Festival.
And Chinese meatballs and spring rolls at Chinese New Year!
Don't you just love holiday food?
I do. I wish I could eat some right now!
If you interview a dozen people, you'll get many different answers about holiday
food.
Americans will name favorite meats like turkey or ham.
Many also like sweet potato dishes.
Chinese people enjoy rice dumplings at Dragon Boat Festival time, and meatballs
and spring rolls at Chinese New Year.
Italian and French people enjoy delicious pastries on holidays.
And Spanish people have many sweet treats, especially at Easter.
Everyone loves their favorite holiday treats!
Hello.
(Chinese).
I really enjoy talking with you, Billy.
You make me feel so special.
Oh, you are special.
I mean it!
You ask very good questions that show you care about me.
Well, I do.
Now I want to know...
Um, can you tell me... Uh, tell me...
Excuse me.
I need Super Sentence Man.
Uh, Super Sentence Man?
I am Super Sentence Man.
And I have a super sentence just for you.
I'd like to know what something is.
Like this, Billy.
I'd like to know what your name is.
I'd like to know...
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait!
Not so loud, Billy.
It is a super sentence.
But I don't think that you should use it today.
Why?
Well, I'll tell you later.
But first, practice using the super sentence in another way.
OK.
I'd like to know what time it is.
I'd like to know what time it is.
Great!
Now uh, you, beautiful young lady, can your use "I'd like to know what..." in a
super sentence?
Sure.
I'd like to know what you're doing here.
I'd like to know what you are doing here.
Well, I'm helping Billy out.
Remember, friends, a super sentence every day will make your English great.
So anyway, I'd like to know what your name is.
Wait! Wait! Don't... don't say it, Billy!
You forgot my name?
And I thought you were so caring.
I can't believe it!
He forgot my name!
Well, Billy, it's OK.

I miss having her sugar cookies.
