Hello again, I'm Gabe.
And I'm Ginger.
And it's almost time to review some of our features from this week.
Here's a bright new day.
Here's a bright new day.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, Ginger, what are you singing?
I'm singing a song I heard.
Well, it sounds kind of like this week's Song Time.
You're right.
Here's a bright new day.
The song says: It's easy to say, "Here's a bright new day." You know, sometimes
it is easier to say something than to feel like it is true.
And sometimes it's easier to sing something than to say it.
Oh, it's a bright new day.
And sometimes it's easier to listen to a real song than to hear a monkey try to
sing it.
Hey!
So... so let's go to our features now starting with...
Song Time.
(Music).
Hello, friends.
I'm here with DJ Prince and the one and only Black Pearl.
Uh huh. Hey, hey, hey.
It's time for a game of Sing and Say.
Sing and Say.
Well, how do we play?
Well...
When you hear me sing and say.
You try to sound the same.
Say these words again today.
That's how you play the game.
Yeah!
Sing and Say.
cut. Sing.
cut.
Cut the paper. Say it.
Cut the paper.
Cut the paper. Sing.
OK. Cut the paper.
Ooh!
hair. Sing.
hair.
Oh.
Did you cut your hair? Say it.
Did you cut your hair?
Did you cut your hair? Huh? Sing it.
Did you cut your hair?
Good, good, good!
expensive. Sing.
expensive.
That must be expensive. Say it.
That must be expensive.
That must be expensive. Sing it.
That must be expensive.
Yeah!
haircut. Sing it.
haircut.
The haircuts are free. Say it.
OK. The haircuts are free.
Good!
The haircuts are free. Sing.
The haircuts are free.
Yeah.
practice. Say it.
practice.
Practice at a beauty school. Sing it.
Practice at a beauty school.
That's OK. Say it and sing it.
And sing it and say...
Hello, my name is Harry Trim.
And I am a professional barber.
Do you need a haircut?
I can cut hair for women, men, children, and sometimes dogs.
If you can grow hair, I can cut it.
Come to my Harry's Barber Shop on Main Street today.
I can give you a great haircut in a very short time.
You can choose from many different hairstyles.
You will not be disappointed.
But I want to warn you that our prices are higher than other barber shops.
Why are our prices expensive?
Because at Harry's Barber Shop, we give free massages with every haircut.
A massage can be very relaxing after a long day at work or home.
So come over and let your hair down at Harry's Barber Shop.
Your hair will thank you.
Hi, everyone. I'm Jim.
And I'm Tim. We're...
The Word Brothers.
We are similar.
But very different.
Yes, just like some English words.
Right. For example, way, W-A-Y.
And weigh, W-E-I-G-H.
These two words can sound similar.
But they're very different.
We can use the word "way" to talk about how someone does something.
Right.
For example, you can fry food.
This is one way (W-A-Y) to cook food.
You can also bake food.
That's another way to cook it.
A way can also be how someone gets to a certain place.
That's true.
If you need directions, you can ask, "Which way should I go?" Which way? W-A-Y.
Now way, W-A-Y, sounds like weigh, W-E-I-G-H.
But what does "weigh," W-E-I-G-H, mean?
Well, we use the word "weigh" to talk about how heavy something is.
Right.
We can ask: How much does that bag weigh?
Yeah, how much does that bag weigh?
This means how heavy is that bag?
Be careful.
Never ask someone: How much do you weigh?
That's not polite.
Hey Jim, how much do you weigh?
Tim! I just said that that's not a polite question to ask.
I know. I know. I'm just kidding!
OK friends, way.
And weigh.
Can you see the difference?
Good. Until next time, this is Tim.
And Jim, saying...
Goodbye.
I just love those features.
Well, I also love hearing from you.
I love to hear what you have to say, or what you think about Let's Talk in

Goodbye.
(Music).
