Welcome back, friends.
Now we would like to play a game with you.
It is called: I Know It!
I Know It!
Do you know it?
Well, I'm going to talk about one of today's key words.
I will describe it.
And I want you to guess what it is, OK?
Are you ready?
Good, because I am.
All right, today's key word.
This is something that you have.
Everybody has one.
You use this to speak or to sing.
You can use this when you want to communicate to somebody.
When you are talking on the phone, you use this, and the other person hears...
Oh, I know it!
Well...
I know it!
I understand the word that you are talking about.
OK. Well, what's the key word, Andrea?
Well, we are using it right now...
Yes.
As we talk.
The key word is: voice.
You use your voice to communicate.
You can use a loud voice to communicate when you're angry.
Or you can use a soft voice to communicate that you are fine, and that you are
feeling great.
Your voice communicates a lot, you know?
Yes. And I can use an excited voice to communicate that you did a great job,
Andrea.
And you did too, friends.
Right now it's time for us to continue by reviewing today's lesson.
Here we go.
Hi, Lily. Are you busy today?
No, I'm not too busy, Rob. Why?
Can you sit at Amber's desk and answer the phone?
Carol asked me to find someone.
Where is Amber?
She's not here today.
So can you answer the office phone?
What about my other work?
You can do your other work between calls.
I can't do two things at the same time!
Right. Focus on the call.
That's good manners.
Yes. Hmm.
You have a nice voice, Lily.
Really? Thanks, Rob.
You always speak clearly.
So people can understand me!
That is important.
Some people mumble on the phone.
I hate that.
Me too.
OK. Sure, I can answer the office phone.
Thanks, Lily.
Do I say this?
"LTE TV, this is Lily.".
Sure! That's good.
Say the name of our business, then your name.
OK.
Maybe you can ask, "How can I help you?".
Of course!
Great!
Do you hear that sound?
The phone is ringing!
My first call!
(Chinese).
OK, thanks for joining us today.
I'll see you next time.
I'm your teacher Gabe with DJ Prince and the Black Pearl.
And it's time to Sing and Say.
Sing and Say.
Well, how do you play?
Well...
When you hear me sing and say.
You try to sound the same.
Say these words again today.
That's how you play the game.
Sing and Say.
phone. Sing it.
phone.
Oh, yeah, baby! Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!
Answer the phone. Sing it.
Answer the phone.
Answer the phone. Say it.
Answer the phone.

Call the office phone. Oh, yeah! Sing it.
Call the office phone. Oh, yeah!
Give it to me! Give it to me!
Oh, yeah!

You have a nice voice. Sing it.
You have a nice voice.
I know, I know. Thank you.

Uh huh.
People can understand me. Sing it.
People can understand me.
sound. Sing it.

Did you hear that sound? Say it.
Did you hear that sound?
The phone is ringing. Sing.
The phone is ringing.
And it's time to say goodbye. Bye-bye.
Goodbye.
Sing and Say...
Calendar Phrase.
Can you answer the phone?
Can you answer the phone?
(Chinese).
The phone is ringing.
Can you answer the phone?

Please answer the phone!
Too late.
The phone stopped ringing.
Good.
Can you answer the phone?
Can you answer the phone?
(Chinese).
Well hey, now it's time to Answer It!
Question number one.
What can Lily ask people on the phone?
What can Lily ask people on the phone?
Andrea, what is the answer here?
Well, we found the answer in our lesson.
We found it in Conversation C.
So let's look at the answer together.
She can ask, "How can I help you?" That's the answer.
I'm sure you got the answer as well.
Now here is question number two.
Do you have good phone manners? Why or why not?
Now Gabe, I see you on the phone a lot.
Mmhm.
You have a lot of people calling you.
You call a lot of people.
So do you have good phone manners?
Why or why not?
Well, I do try to have good phone manners.
I try to be polite on the phone.
I try not to talk on the phone when I should be talking with other people.
Um, I do try to practice good phone manners, Andrea.
Well, that's very good to hear.
Thank you. Thank you.
OK. Friends, thank you for joining us today.
And be sure to come back again tomorrow.
We have more to learn and talk about while having fun with English.
We'll see you tomorrow right here on Let's Talk...
In English.
Sorry, everybody. I was busy with my phone.
Uh.
Goodbye.
(Music).
