Welcome back, everyone. I'm Gabe.
And I'm Ginger.
And we learned a lot of key words this week, right?
Yes, we did.
We learned dinner, dumpling, doctor, nurse...
Wait, wait, wait, wait, Ginger.
Dinner, dumpling, doctor... Those three words start with D.
So?
So say this with me.
Dr. Dan eats delicious dumplings for dinner.
Dr. Dan eats delicious dumplings for dinner.
Great!
Now say it three times.
It. It. It.
Very funny.
Ginger, don't say "it" three times.
Here, say it with me... the sentence.
Dr. Dan eats delicious dumplings for dinner.
Dr. Dan eats delicious dumplings for dinner.
Faster!
Dr. Dan eats delicious dumplings for dinner.
Great!
Now let's say it ten times really fast.
Ready? Go.
Dr. Dan eats delicious dumplings for dinner...
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Ginger, Ginger, this...
Too hard!
This is kind of difficult.
But friends, I think you can do it too.
Try our tongue twister at home.
Start slow, and then go faster and faster.
For now, let's review our features beginning with Sing and Say.
Hi, friends. I'm your favorite singer, the Black Pearl, here with DJ Prince and
Rapper Ray.
Hey, hey, hey.
He's really Teacher Gabe.
Hey!
It's time for Sing, Rap and Say.
Sing, Rap and Say.
How do we play?
Well...
When you hear me sing and say.
You try and sound the same.
Say these words again today.
That's how you play the game.
Sing and Say.
dinner. Say it.
Oh, dinner.
Pay attention!
What do you eat for dinner? Say it.
What do you eat for dinner?
What do you eat for dinner? Sing it.
What do you eat for dinner?
dumpling. Say it.
dumpling.
Dumplings are a lot of work. Oh, yeah. Sing.
Dumplings are a lot of work. Oh, yeah.
But dumplings are delicious. Say it.
But dumplings are delicious.
But dumplings are delicious. Mmm. Sing.
But dumplings are delicious. Mmm.
egg. Say it.
egg.
I am making egg drop soup. Sing it.
I am making egg drop soup.

I am making egg drop soup. Oh, yeah.
rice. Say it.

Make rice for dinner. Sing it.

Uh huh.
Do you like spaghetti? Huh? Say it.
Do you like spaghetti? Huh?
Do you like spaghetti? Sing.
Do you like spaghetti?
That was a wrong note. But that's OK. OK.
And thanks a lot.
Thanks for joining Sing and Say.

Hi, everyone. I'm Jim.
And I'm Tim. We're...
The Word Brothers.
We are similar.
But very different.
Yes, just like some English words.
Right. For example, do, D-O.
And due, D-U-E.
These two words can sound similar.
But they are very different.
Do, D-O, is an easy word.
We use it in many ways.
We use "do" when we talk about work or jobs.
Right. For example, our mom asks us every day: Did you do your homework?
We can also use "do" to talk about activities.
For example, someone might ask you: What did you do last night?
Or, what did you do on your vacation?
Mmhm. Do, D-O, can sound like due, D-U-E.
But the two words are very different.
When something is due, D-U-E, it must be finished or given back at a certain
time.
For example, you borrow a book from the library.
It is due on Tuesday.
That means you should return the book to the library on Tuesday.
Or, you have a project.
It is due on Monday.
You must finish it and give it to your boss or your teacher on Monday.
Yeah, it is due on Monday.
So don't give it to your boss on Tuesday.
All right, friends, do.
And due.
Can you see the difference?
Good. Until next time, this is Tim.
And Jim saying...
Goodbye.
Hi, Nancy.
Oh, hi, Risa.
Oh, is this your little baby?
Yes, this is Andy.
Oh, he's asleep.
And it's a good thing he's sleeping now.
I am so tired, Risa.
You know how I work from 9 to 5 every day.
When I get home, I just want to rest.
But dear little Andy cries all through the night.
Wow! It's not easy to um...
When you're a mom, it uh...
If you're a mother...
Yes?
If you're a mother... I mean...
Oh, I need Super Sentence Man!
I heard that!
I am Super Sentence man.
And the sentence you need is: Being a something sounds like something else.
Like this: Being a mom sounds like a difficult job.
Yes. Being a mom sounds like a difficult job.
Excellent!
Now can you think of a super sentence?
Sure. Being a photographer sounds like an interesting job.
Being a photographer sounds like an interesting job.
What about you, Nancy?
Being an actor sounds like a cool job.
Being an actor sounds like a cool job.
Super!
Now what super sentence do you need to use with Nancy?
Being a mom sounds like a difficult job.
It is such a difficult job.
And that is how you use a super sentence.
Remember, a super sentence every day...
Uh, say it with me.
A super sentence every day will make your English great.
Risa, would you like to take care of Andy for me?
You mean babysit?
Of course. Yeah.
Is being a babysitter a difficult job?
Of course not. It's easy.
How about tonight?
Uh, tonight?
Careful! It'll be fine.
You just come over around 7:00.
And then you can give him a bottle...
