Lights.

Let's Talk in English.
Hey, everyone, my name is Gabe.
Hi, everyone, my name is Andrea.
Thank you for joining us today right here in the studio.
The title of our lesson is: Where Do You Want to Travel?
Where Do You Want to Travel?
Do you want to travel abroad?
Do you want to visit another country?
Do you dream of traveling to a place that has a castle?
Sometimes we have wild dreams about places we want to travel to.
Maybe you just want to travel anywhere.
Well friends, where do you want to travel?
We're going to learn how to answer this question, and how to talk about it in
interesting ways.
Where do you find our Read It?
Well, open your magazine to today's lesson, and let's begin.
Lots of people dream of traveling abroad.
Some want to go to Europe to see castles, palaces and famous art museums.
France and Spain have more visitors each year than any other country.
Others dream of traveling to Africa.
They want to see the pyramids in Egypt.
Or they want to go on a safari and see wild animals like elephants, lions and
giraffes.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Gabe, do you dream of traveling abroad?
Yeah, I do dream of traveling abroad.
Do you dream of going to visit famous castles?
Yeah, I was just thinking about that.
I do dream of visiting famous castles.
Do you dream of being a visitor anywhere you want?
Yes, I do dream of that.
I... I dream of visiting anywhere in the world.
That would be great!
And... and do you dream of seeing wild animals in different countries?
No, I don't dream of that.
Oh, you don't?
No. That's dangerous.
Well, that is... it is kind of dangerous, isn't it?
Well, yeah.
OK. Well, why don't we talk about our key word right now?
It is: dream.
Now when you dream of doing something, that means you really want to do it.
When you dream about it, you think about it, and you hope that one day it will
happen.
When you dream of something, it is your dream.
So this word can be a verb, to dream of something.
Or it can be a noun.
That is my dream.
My dream is to one day travel around the whole world in a day.
Wow! You dream about that? Interesting.
Yeah. It's a very quick dream.
OK, very, very quick dream.
OK. Well, I also, like Gabe, dream of visiting castles.
I think many girls dream of one day living in a castle with their prince.
Ah, to dream.
Oh, Andrea, I think you're dreaming right now.
No, no, no. I'm not dreaming.
I'm... I'm thinking about our key word, and that is "castle." A castle is a
place where a king and a queen live.
Castles are beautiful buildings.
There are some very old castles that have a lot of history.
And people like to travel and visit castles.
And if you are visiting a castle or visiting anywhere, then you are a visitor.
"Visitor" is a key word.
Do you like to visit places?
Where have you visited before?
Are you a visitor?
Where do you want to go?
You can be a visitor in that country.
We can say the famous art museum has over 1,000 visitors every day.
If you welcome visitors to your country, that's a good thing to do.
Make them feel welcome.
You want to make visitors feel welcome to your home or to your country.
And if you do go to some countries, maybe you can see wild animals.
That's right, on a safari in Africa, you can see some wild animals.
And our key word is "wild." You do not keep a wild animal in your home as a pet.
But you can see wild animals in nature.
Or you can see them on a safari.
And many wild animals are very dangerous.
Of course, there are some wild animals that aren't that dangerous.
You can get closer to them.
But the animals that I think are really wild and dangerous are like lions and
tigers and some bears.
Oh, my. That is true.
I like the question at the end of our Read It.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Well, we want to talk about this key word, anywhere.
"Anywhere" means any place.
So if you could go anywhere in the world, that means any place or any country,
where would you want to go?
That's a good question.
If you could go anywhere, where would you want to go?
I would want to go to Spain, and to Italy, and um... Let's see. Anywhere else,
really.
I mean the world is so big and I can go anywhere.
I can travel anywhere, and... and that's really my dream - to travel anywhere.
Uh, let's see.
Wow, wow, Gabe, you are dreaming again, aren't you?
I guess so.
Yes, that's good. It's good to dream.
It's good to learn.
It's good to keep learning.
So friends, let's go and see Christina.
(Chinese).
Someday I want to...
Hey, what are you doing?
Oh. Hi, Ginger.
I was just dreaming.
Oh. Were you asleep?
No. I was dreaming about something I really want to do.
Oh. Is traveling your dream?
Yes, I want to travel to Europe and see the castles.
I want to go to Africa and play on the pyramids.
Play on the pyramids?
Yeah. And I want to go on a safari and play with the wild animals.
Wow. Ginger, you can't play on the pyramids.
Huh?
You can't play with the wild animals.
Oh... Yeah? Well, uh, maybe not.
But I can dream about it.
Someday...
I dream of practicing the key words.
Well, we can do that together right now.
Please say them with us.
dream.
dream.
Kevin dreams of going to school in America.
castle.
castle.
The king lives in that beautiful castle.
visitor.
visitor.
The museum had more than 1,000 visitors today.
wild.
wild.
Let me say that again.
wild.
A lion can't be a pet. It's a wild animal!
anywhere.
anywhere.
Amy has lots of money, so she can travel anywhere she wants!
Well, we can go anywhere we want to go right now.
But I know that you want to go and watch It's a Rap, so let's go.
Rapper Ray here with Jack the man.
You will see a word.
Think of three words that sound like that word and make a rap.
And the word for today is: dream.
What rhymes with "dream"?
Seem, steam...
Jack the man, give me a word!
Team.
Lay the beat.
Yeah, I like that. I like it!
I was the star of a basketball team.
Eating dumplings with lots of the steam.
But things are often not as real as they seem.
I woke up the next morning, it was just a dream.
Just a dream.
All right, here we go. Again.
I was the star of a basketball team.
Eating dumplings with lots of steam.
But things are often not as real as they seem.
I woke up the next morning, it was just a dream.
It's a Rap!
