It's time for a Key Word...
Story.
Yes. This is one of my favorite parts of our show.
We are going to make a story using all of our key words.
Well, we have a title for the story today.
The title of the story is: Jeremiah's Favorite Easter.
Nice.
OK. Gabe will begin.
OK.
Jeremiah went to church on Easter Sunday.
He learned about God at church and why we celebrate.
After church, his family went to a big garden, and they looked for Easter eggs.
They had an Easter egg hunt.
They looked for eggs.
A lot of the eggs were hidden.
People hid the eggs in many places.
But do you know how many eggs Jeremiah found?
Jeremiah found over thirty eggs!
Thirty eggs!
God looked down and was very happy.
Well, this is an interesting story.
Um, I know you can come up with a better Key Word Story.
Try that today.
For now, let's continue with Conversation A.
Do you have any plans for this weekend, Susie?
Yes! I am going to help at the children's Easter party in the park.
Fun! Will the children hunt for eggs?
Yes, and I get to hide the eggs.
I love seeing the children's faces when they find the eggs!
That will be fun.
This weekend we celebrate Easter.
And Conversation A starts with a question.
Do you have any plans for this weekend?
Do you have any plans for this weekend?
Well, we can use this question in another way.
Do you have any plans tonight?
Do you have any plans for the summer?
Do you have any plans for lunch tomorrow?
Use this question when you want to find out more about someone's plans.
Well, we have some fun plans for Easter, and Susie says that she gets to hide
the eggs.
She gets to hide the eggs.
Now I like to use the word "get" when you're talking about things that you want
to do.
I get to do this, or I get to do that.
It means you can, you have the chance to do it.
She's excited about it.
I get to exercise today.
It's something that I can do, that I have the chance to do.
You get to practice English today.
Yes, it's something you can do.
So if there's something that maybe you don't really want to do, remember this
verb "get." You get to do it, and you can find a reason to be thankful for it.
And we get to learn more.
Let's look at Conversation B.
How about you, Lily? What are your plans?
I'm going to spend time with my family.
We'll all go to church together on Sunday.
That's great.
Easter Sunday is my favorite day to go to church.
Why is that?
Everyone goes to church on Easter!
Yeah.
And I like hearing about God and the story of Jesus coming back to life.
Well, have a Happy Easter, Lily!
You too, Susie.
Well, we found out what Lily's plans are for this weekend.
She said, "I'm going to spend time with my family. We'll all go to church
together on Sunday." So, spending time with people.
Who do you like to spend time with?
Do you like to spend time with your family?
Do you like to spend time with your friends?
Maybe you have some pets, like cats or dogs.
Do you like to spend time with your pets?
Who do you like to spend time with?
Lily will spend time with her family this weekend.
Later she says, "Everyone goes to church on Easter!
And I like hearing about God and the story of Jesus coming back to life." I like
hearing about something.
I like hearing about other cultures.
I think they're interesting.
I like hearing about friends' trips.
It's fun to hear about the experiences that my friends have.
What do you like hearing about?
Talk about it in English.
Say "I like hearing about this." Well, right now it's time for us to review.
I like doing that too.
Happy Easter!
People will celebrate this spring holiday on April 8 this year.
Children often decorate eggs.
Adults hide plastic eggs filled with candy or small toys, then children hunt for
them.
Many people go to church on Easter Sunday.
They hear about God and how He sent Jesus to Earth two thousand years ago.
They believe that Jesus died and then came back to life three days later on
Easter Sunday.
Do you have any plans for this weekend, Susie?
Yes! I am going to help at the children's Easter party in the park.
Fun! Will the children hunt for eggs?
Yes, and I get to hide the eggs.
I love seeing the children's faces when they find the eggs!

It's time to Answer It!
Here is question number one.
What are Lily's plans for Easter?
What are Lily's plans for Easter?
Now Gabe, can you answer it?
Yes, yes, I can. I'd be glad to.
The answer was in Conversation B.
She'll spend time with her family and go to church on Sunday.
Those are her plans.
Now our second question is like it.
What are your plans for this weekend?
That's a good question.
Andrea, what are your plans for this weekend?
Well, this weekend I am going to celebrate Easter.
I am going to think about the new life we have because of what God did for us.
And I'll spend time with my family this weekend.
And maybe you'll even see little Jeremiah for his favorite East, right?
Exactly! I hope so.
Well friends, we hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Join us tomorrow for our Saturday Review.
And then come back again on Monday right here on...
Let's Talk in English.
