(Music).
Well, hello again.
Now it's time for something special that I like to call: Two in One.
We're going to use two key words in one sentence.
I know you can do it too.
Here is my sentence.
I sat at the largest table in the restaurant.
Andrea, did you hear my key words?
I did. Your key words were "restaurant"...
Yes.
And "table," right?
Bingo!
And Andrea, do you have a sentence with two of our key words in it?
I do. Here is my Two in One.
I waited a long time for the bus today.
You waited a long time for the bus?
I think I know the key words, "wait" and "long." Friends, you can do it too.
Think of two key words to use in one sentence.
But for now, we're going to continue our lesson.
Let's go and enjoy Conversation A.
Do you like fast food restaurants, Lily?
Sure! I go to fast food restaurants two or three times a week.
You go often.
I don't like to wait long for my food.
Our lunch break is only an hour.
True. Restaurants with servers can be slow.
The Jungle Cafe isn't slow.
I know. And it's right here in our TV station!
Yes, we have a restaurant right here in the TV studio.
The Jungle Cafe is in our TV studio.
That's a great restaurant.
Well, we start Conversation A with a question.
Ken says, "Do you like fast food restaurants?" Do you like fast food
restaurants?
Now a fast food restaurant is a kind of restaurant.
What kinds of restaurants do you like?
You can ask: Do you like Chinese restaurants?
Or, do you like Italian restaurants?
Do you like pizza restaurants?
Or, do you like breakfast restaurants?
You can also ask: Do you like fancy restaurants?
A fancy restaurant is usually a place where you have to wear very nice clothes.
And you might have to just act a little bit different at that kind of
restaurant.
So what kind of restaurant do you like?
Well, what kind of restaurant does Lily like?
She does like fast food restaurants.
She goes there two or three times a week.
So she goes often.
Friends, let's continue now with Christina.
(Chinese).
OK, let's continue with Conversation B.
What kind of restaurants do you like, Ken?
I like all kinds of restaurants.
You love to eat out.
I do. Fast food restaurants are cheap.
They are!
But restaurants with servers often have better food.
And I like servers.
They take your order and bring everything to your table!
I need our server now.
More coffee, please!
More coffee, please!
Ah yes, this is a very good phrase to know.
If you're at a restaurant and you need something else, maybe you need some more
to drink,
you want some more coffee, you want to get your server's attention,
you can say, "More coffee, please." Or, more tea, please.
Ah, more water, please.
More Coke, please.
But remember to say "please." It's very polite to say "please." Well, we have
more to learn.
Please join me as we go to the beginning of this conversation where Lily says,
"What kind of restaurants do you like, Ken?" What kind of something do you like?
You can use this phrase in other ways.
What kind of movies do you like?
What kind of pets do you like?
Do you like cats or dogs or fish or spiders or rats?
What kind of cars do you like?
What kind of games do you like to play?
What kind of TV shows do you like?
Well, of course, we're glad you enjoy Let's Talk in English.
It's a wonderful TV show.
And of course, right now it's also time for us to review today's lesson.
There are many different kinds of restaurants.
Some restaurants have servers.
The server takes your order.
Then he or she brings your food to your table.
Other restaurants are fast food restaurants.
You order at a counter and wait for your food.
But you don't wait long!
Then you can take your food to go.
Or you can eat at a table in the restaurant.
Do you like fast food restaurants, Lily?
Sure! I go to fast food restaurants two or three times a week.
You go often.
I don't like to wait long for my food.
Our lunch break is only an hour.

Let's Answer it!
Ken likes all kinds of restaurants.
Well, that makes it easy when he wants to go to a restaurant.
Here is the second question.
What kind of restaurants do you like? And why?
Gabe, I'd love to hear your answer.
What kind of restaurants do you love? And why?
Well, I'm kind of like Ken.
I like all kinds of food.
The only thing is I can't go to expensive restaurants too often.
So I like all kinds of restaurants.
