(Music).
Hi, everyone.
I hope you had a nice break.
And now it’s time to review.
We’ll look at our lesson again together.
You’ve learned key words and more.
See if you can listen for those in the lesson.
I’m sure it will be easier this time through.
OK. Let’s go.
Then after our bike ride on Saturday, my friends want to eat.
OK.
I can go to.
Hey, do you guys like these flowers in the vase?
Sure.
They look nice.
Thanaks.
I have only four more vases to go.
Do you need help, Emma?
Sure.
Do you know how to arrange flowers?
No.
I’ll teach you.
First, you need a vase, flowers, a rubber band, scissors and water.
Fill the vase with water.
Take the flowers and decide where you will cut the stems.
Cut the stems at an angle.
This will help the flowers get more water.
(Backgroud Noise).
Put the rubber band around the flowers.
Then put the flowers in the vase.
That was fun.
Yeah.
I like flowers (Backgroud Noise),
especially daisies.
They’re such happy flowers.
You’re right.
They are.
Hey, let’s go on our bike ride now.
We can go look at flowers in the River Park.
Tom, it’s nine o’clock at night.
Oh, right.
The flowers will still be there on Saturday.
OK. Let’s stick to our plan for Saturday morning then.
(Music).
Hello. Welcome back to the Information Desk.
(Chinese).
Well, that’s all for today.
I’ll see you next time.
I think it’s time for Inspector E.
Hello, friends.
I’m Inspector E.
And I’m Dr. English.
Achoo!
Excuse me.
Bless you, Doctor.
Thank you, Inspector.
Are you feeling all right?
Yes, I’m fine.
Good.
Then let’s review a part of this week’s lesson.
(Music).
Bless you.
(Chinese).
Achoo!
Excuse me.
Bless you.
Thank you.
Are you sure you’re all right?
Yes, I think so.
Let’s talk about this phrase:
Bless you.
Good idea.
In America and other Western countries, when you sneeze, someone near you may
say:
Bless you.
What they’re really saying is God bless you.
Oh.
Why do people say that?
No one really knows.
There are lots of ideas.
Some people used to think that your heart stopped when you sneezed.
So saying bless you made your heart start going again.
Of course we know that that’s not true,
but people still say bless you.
So if someone sneezes near you, you can say bless you to them too.
Achoo!
Excuse me.
Bless you.
Thank you.
Doctor, I think you need to go see a doctor.
I am a doctor.
Yes, but maybe you should go see another doctor.
Maybe.
All right, everyone.
Did you learn today’s lesson?
What do you say if someone sneezes near you?
Say: Bless you.
Achoo!
Bless you.
Thank you.
What do you say if someone says bless you to you?
Say thank you.
Very good.
Now remember, if you have a question...
We have an answer... Achoo!
Bless you.
Thank you.
I’m Inspector E.
I’m Dr. English.
Achoo!
Bless you.
Thank you.
We’ll see you next time.
Bye. Achoo! Bless you.
Calendar Phrase.
How’s the weather?
How’s the weather?
(Chinese).
I called my mom in New York.
Oh, how’s the weather?
It’s too cold.
I called my uncle in LA.
How’s the weather?
It’s too hot.
I’m glad we live here.
So how’s the weather here?
I don’t know.
I’ll call a neighbor and find out.
How’s the weather?
How’s the weather?
(Chinese).
