教学目标:
1、 学习单词month ,cute ,handsome, pretty, grow up
2、 能用 He/She was ...His/Her...was/were...介绍某人过去某个阶段的年
龄和特征。
3、 通过引导学生介绍自己或家人不同成长阶段的外貌特征,帮助学生初步运用核心句型。
教学重点:
1、掌握句型 He/She was ...His/Her...was/were...
2、学习单词 cute ,handsome, pretty, grow up, month,
教学难点:
在句型His/Her...was/were...中根据名词的单复数形式正确使用was或 were

教学过程:
Step1: Pre-task preparations
1. Daily report.
2.多媒体展示几组名人图片,比如姚明,潘长江,范冰冰等让学生进行描述。
T: Look at the photo, who is he/she?
T: Is he tall? What does he look like?
3. 出示他们小时候的图片,再引导学生用过去式进行描述。
T: Look at this photo, Yao Ming was about one year old. What did he look
like?
Step2: While-task procedures
1. 对比前面几组照片,引出短语grow up.
T: Compare these photos, they are growing up. And we are growing up.
引导学生阅读单元标题,解释grow up含义,并请同学跟读。
2. 播放录音,让学生整体感知课文,
并回答问题:
Who does the passage talk about?
In photo 1, was she a baby?
In photo 2, was her hair long or short?
In photo 3, how old was she?
Now what does she look like?
3. ①出示课件一:让学生用过去式描述Sally两个月时的照片。
T: Look at this baby. She was about two months old .
并出示一张日历,板书month.
T: How many months are there in a year?
How many month are there in spring?
出示几张可爱婴儿的照片,让学生用month来描述他们的年龄,并了解cute的用法。
T: were the babies cute?
②出示课件二:让学生观察并回答:
How about her hair?
How about her eyes?
让学生用was 和 were进行描述,知道单数用was 复数用were
出示更多图片,让学生练习用was 和 were进行描述。
③出示课件三: 学习单词:primary school student
T: Are you a primary school student?
Which primary school do you go to?
④出示课件四:学习单词:junior high school, pretty, handsome
T: How old is Sally now?
What school does she go to?
What does she look like?
出示与Sally 同龄的那女孩照片,让学生对比描述,区分pretty 和 handsome.
4. 再次播放录音,边听边跟读。比一比谁读得最像录音里的发音。
5. 完成表格。

教学反思:
本单元重点学习过去时(was/were)及对过去某个阶段的年龄和特征进行
描述。
在教与学的过程中发现绝大部分学生能轻松掌握基本知识,但部分学困生对
“过去”的概念没有意识,张口就错!还需多操练巩固。
