The journey of Little Water Drop教学设计 大磡小学 黄一豆 I. 教学材料 上海教育出版社 5A U11 The journey od Little Water Drop II. 课型 阅读课 III. 教材分析 本单元是Module 4中的第二个单元，以自然界中的事物为主题，目的是让学生了 解自然，认识到自然和人类的密切关系。Read a story这部分的内容，旨在让学生通 过小水滴的经历，了解水循环。 IV. 学情分析 五年级的学生对大自然和我们生存的环境有一定的了解，对环境中面临的一些问 题有自己的观点和看法。经过四年级的英语学习，他们已经掌握一些基本语言来表 达、分享他们对大自然的认识和看法。但是对自然界中water这一物质的来源、循环 的过程中并不是很清楚，节约用水的意识并不强烈。因此，本课时的学习将以学生 为中心，以 water cycle为话题，设置学生感兴趣的语言实践任务，了解人和水的 密切作用。 V. 教学目标 1. 通过阅读故事《The journey of Little Water Drop》，帮助学生认识水循环的过程 2. 借助图片与关键词复述故事。 VI. 教学重点 及难点 教学重点：1.掌握词汇 go up, fall down, shine, over,tree, ground,inside的音、义； 2.阅读故事 The journey of Little Water Drop, 简单了解水循环的过程 3.用所学词组描述水循环的过程。 教学难点：用所学知识描述水循环的过程。此任务不仅要求学生具备清晰的逻辑知 识，还需要学生有较强的表达能力，并且能用所学英语复述出来，具有一定的挑 战性。 VII. 教学用具 PPT，图片，词卡，学习单 VIII. 教学步骤 Steps Teacher’s Activities Students’ Activities Justifications 1. Warm-up and lead- in ① Play the water drop’s sounds. ② Drop the water in Ss hands ③ demonstrate the word card of “the little water drop” Know about the teacher and guess the sound. Ss read with teacher. Ss get familiar with the teacher and introduce “the little water drop”. 2. Pre-reading ① Show the question “Where does the water live?” ② Play the recording and raise a question: “Where does the little water drop go?” ① Students discuss in group and share their answers. ② Listen to the recording and answer the question. ① Introduce P1 ② (1st learning of the text) Students have a brief understanding of the text. 3. While-reading ① Play the recording for the Ss and show the question,”Where is Little Water Drop?” and “How does he get there?” ② Explain “goes up” to them and read; ③ Ask “Why the little Water Drop goes up to the sky?” (then introduce the word “shine”) ④ Play the recording of p1- p2; ⑤ Play the question “where does he go next?” and “how does he get there?” Then describe the words ”fly over”. ⑥.Play the recording of p3-4 ⑦ . Introduce the topic “The journey…” and help Ss retell the story by showing the words cards ① Ss answer the question after listening to the tape. Ss can learn the words “go up” ② Ss read with T ③ Ss answer the question after listening to the tape. Ss can learn the words “shine” ④ Ss read by themselves. ⑤ Ss discuss with partners ⑥ Ss read after the tape ⑦ Ss work in groups to r etell the story learn the text, deepen the understanding of the detail of the story. 4. Post-reading ① Play a video <water cycle>； ② Show the pics ① Ss watch the video and think the question ② Ss discuss and answer the question. Arouse Ss’ awareness of protecting water resources. 5.
