教学设计 -- 育才三中 王慧 Teaching Plan Title The king and the rice Lesson Type Reading Students Class 4, Grade 8 Teacher Wanghui Analysis of the teaching material In terms of the content, the text introduces a story between the king and the wise man, in which the wise man beat the confident king and asked much rice that the king could not give. The development of the passage is based on the development of the passage . In terms of the language pattern, there is an important phrase: challenge sb. to sth. And there is a quite long sentence about how much rice the wise man wanted. Students are supposed to use the phrase automatically and to understand the long sentence. Analysis of the students Before this class, students have already learned the new words in the passage, and they have read this passage for several times, so they have already know the general idea of the passage. But they don’t have the ability the play the drama of the story. Learning objectives By the end of the class, students will be able to: 1. understand how the story develops; 2. feel the emotional changes of the king; 3. finish the script of the drama; 4. use the phrase “challenge sb. to sth.” actively.
